+ This weekend was filled with cake & gifts.
Brooks turned 4 on Saturday,
KyLee turned 19 on Sunday,
& then my mother had a birthday on Monday.
i won't disclose her age. she's not too old, promise.

+ Devri's farewell was on sunday.
we will miss her a whole lot.
her talk stated, "i didn't want to miss out on things..... like weddings of family & friends."
don't worry dev, clearly the friends part won't be happening any time soon.

we were trying to think together. 

+ Callie ripped her pants yesterday.
i told her not to climb on the big red ball outside of target.
she didn't listen to me.
+ i got a hot dress from target for 12 dollars.
steal.
+ i sorta feel like i'm still in high school.
drama to the max.
+ also, my hair is now long enough so that when its up in a pony tail
the bottom rests on my neck so much that it flips it out.
success.
= heres to rain, men, golfing and expensive perfume.

+ 2.5. thats how many hours of sleep i got last night.
this unfortunate event is not my fault.

he's home.
Callie, Devri and myself spent the evening
and the wee hours of the morning with him.
he's even nicer now than he was before.
shocking.

+Devri leaves me in 13 days.

in other news....

+My apple cider detox has been going well. i love it.
i keep it in a water bottle and brooks always tries to drink it.
one day he said,
"can i have some water?"
"you probably won't like this water."
"but please ashley"
since he didn't like my answer his father told him it was gross water
brooks quickly gave it back.
a few minutes later i left the house,
came back, put my water on the couch
and was quickly distracted by this beauty.

i heard some water in the kitchen. but decided to ignore it.

a few minutes later brooks walked in

"here ashley i got you some new water!" 

what a gentleman..

+ i've decided i want a sunroof on my car. 

if this ever happens i will provide free hand puppet shows.

+ sunday was mothers day.

we talked to brianna

and gave this cherry cordial bouquet to my mother

that was my craftiness put to the test. 

the flowers are now wilting because she won't eat them. 

+ the fam went up the canyon yesterday.

i broke my toe nails. worst timing ever. 

it's sandal season! 

is it possible to get fake toe nails?

those may be necessary for a few weeks.

i'm wearing close toed shoes today. boo..

+ heres to sun, sandals, and swimming suits i never wear.

its a terrible thing. 

in other news,

i'm doing a detox. type thing. sorta. i eat other food. 

apple cider vinegar. apparently its good for you!

like really good for you. 

i drink this concoction throughout the day.

2 cups of water

2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons (approximately) of honey

1 packet of splenda (the small ones that they have at restaurants)

i make it the night before and shake it up in a water bottle and refrigerate it over night.

best thing ever. it tastes like fizzy apple juice! 

disclaimer: i only started yesterday. 

so who knows if this really works. 

but heres hoping! 

do it with me! we'll make a club.

while driving to the mall this afternoon

(actually it was before noon. 11.13.)

i was stuck behind a really really

really really old truck suburban thing

whose operator was old as well.

when i finally arrived at my destination
i picked a parking spot near the back
as to reserve the closer ones for the
elderly without handicap stickers.

i pulled in next to another car who

probably had the same mentality.

but then again maybe not.

in the car, i saw a barbie.

a byu cheerleader barbie.

the ugly ones with bendable joints.
yuck.

this barbie had yarn around her neck

and was hanging from the rear view mirror.
